Privacy Policy

At National Idea Design LLC ("we," "our," or "us"), we believe that your data belongs to you. Pockito is designed to provide a useful service while minimizing data collection and maximizing privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

1. Data Storage and Sync

We do not store your saved links on our servers. All your data (links, tags, notes) is stored:

• Locally on your device using on-device database technologies.
• In your private iCloud via CloudKit, which uses Apple's encryption standards.

Because your data is stored in your personal iCloud container, we (the developers) have no access to your saved content. You retain full ownership and control, including the ability to export your data at any time.

2. Analytics and Tracking

Starting with version 1.2, we use PostHog analytics to help us improve Pockito by collecting anonymous usage data.

This feature is enabled by default to help us build a better product, but you can turn it off at any time in the app settings.

This data is aggregated and does not include any of your personal content. We never access or track your saved links, notes, or tags.

3. Link Metadata Fetching

To provide rich previews (titles, images, icons) for your links, Pockito needs to communicate with the websites you save.

• When you save a link, the app contacts the destination server directly to retrieve metadata.
• This process is performed by your device, not by a central server acting as a proxy.
• We provide an option in the app settings to disable automatic metadata fetching if you prefer complete isolation.

4. Beta Testing (TestFlight)

If you participate in our beta program via Apple's TestFlight:

• Apple creates automated crash logs and usage feedback which are shared with us to help improve the app.
• This data is anonymized by Apple and does not include your personal saved content.
